About Terri Lynn Thompson

As a child, Terri Lynn Thompson used to create stories within which she and her younger sister would become characters and pretend. Whether her sister understood or not, in Terri's mind they were creating stories, which she attempted to write down. How fun it would be to see those pages now!

As she got a little older, Terri wanted to be Billie on the T.V. show, Lou Grant. And in high school she took the position as a reporter for the high school paper, the Gateway Medallion.

Journaling was almost always part of her life, helping her put words to her worries, heartbreaks, celebrations, prayers and poems.

It wasn't until Terri was married and had three very busy little boys that she got the urge to write fiction again. She wrote and rewrote a biblical fiction entitled, Deceiver or King, which is yet unpublished. She rewrote it again adding a second POV character a few years ago.

Life often derailed her efforts for short periods of time, but she never gave up writing fiction completely after that.

As a young grandmother, Terri was inspired, through the writings of Madeleine L'Engle (especially in Walking on Water), to devote herself more fully to her fiction.

Terri writes about ordinary people facing extraordinary challenges who, encounter incredible grace. Through stories of family, faith, heartbreak, and hope, her novels invite readers to rediscover wonder, embrace healing, and believe that light can still find us—even in our darkest moments.
